SvWP, through its associated attorneys, has been the local partner of the technical & legal consultant to the EU Commission joint venture on a complex project whose object was to provide quality appraisals and verification of projects funded or to be funded by the Cohesion Fund and by the Instrument for Structural Policies for pre – accession (ISPA) in the fields of the Environment and Transport in Romania.
SvWP’s legal experts provided legal appraisals on two important environment projects to be financed by the EU with the purpose of preparing these cities for the EU accession and to improve their environment infrastructures. More exactly, the projects referred to the rehabilitation of the water supply network & wastewater treatment plant in Suceava City and Hunedoara County.
Our experts’ main task has been to asses the local authorities’ applications from the legal point of view, to review the institutional and legal arrangements and to deliver written reports on the legal accuracy of the application according to ISPA requirements.
